Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Bridewell operates a hybrid and flexible working policy, however for this role you will need to either be based in or willing to travel to London regularly.

Who are we looking for?

Bridewell has seen extensive growth over the past few years and as such we are looking for ambitious Senior Cloud Security Engineers who are passionate about Cyber Security and Cloud Technologies and how these secure and transform organisations. You’ll have hands on experience delivering and leading on a range of projects for Bridewell as our Cloud practice continues to grow. As a Microsoft Gold Partner with specialisms in Cloud Security, you will ideally have extensive experience within Azure and can advise clients on best practices and recommendations based on leading industry guidance.

What you’ll be doing

This role sits within our Cloud Security team who work with a variety of clients across a range of industries, whilst also working collaboratively with different teams across Bridewell. You will be working on a variety of cloud projects: from creating cloud security architectures to deploying entire cloud datacentres; to auditing security configuration and implementing pipelines driven by security monitoring tools.

  • Evaluating client software development practices and identifying and implementing necessary security improvements within their SDLC process.
  • Work with our clients to promote security awareness in the software development lifecycle
  • Implement, improve and enhance DevSecOps practices.
  • Work on large, security transformation programmes which involve technology convergence
  • Integrate, configure and manage secure public cloud services.
  • Work with the cloud engineering teams and development teams to create effective CI/CD implementations, helping to configure and maintain them.
  • Develop bespoke Integrations to further enhance security monitoring at application, and infrastructure level.
  • Create and maintain project and technical documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure alignment of security strategies with business goals.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience of:

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, IT security, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Go or Shell
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with security tools (SAST, DAST, IAST, RASP).
  • Understanding of container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to explain complex security topics in an understandable manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
