Who are we looking for? 
 

We are looking for Senior NET Developer to join our existing development team. The role covers both traditional web application development and cloud engineering. If you have passion for developing applications, improving existing ones and raising standards, then get in touch. 
 

What you'll be doing
 

  • Development and maintenance of new/existing web applications 

  • Supporting other Bridewell teams and services to design and build automation and cloud orchestration capabilities 

  • Creating secure CI/CD integration pipelines 

  • Development and optimisation of Bridewell cloud service offerings within Microsoft Azure 

  • Maintain an improve existing serverless cloud technologies 

  • Creating useable automated tests 

  • Producing clear and concise documentation 

  • Diagnosing and fixing bugs 

  • Working closely with senior and business stakeholders to develop and deliver requirements 

  • Assisting and mentoring of junior team members 

 

 

You will need to have experience in:  
 

  • Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies 

  • Strong understanding of cloud services such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, serverless and other key services 

  • Existing experience building cloud first systems within Microsoft Azure 

  • Leading large projects and running small product teams 

  • An analytical mind, strong attention to detail and desire to probe further into data 

  • The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues 

  • Commercial and business awareness 

  • Passionate about security 

  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal 

  • Motivated to pick up new technologies  

  • Naturally driven, enthusiastic and willing to learn 

 

Required/Desirable Skills: 
 

  • Familiarity with MVC pattern and .NET/.NET Core (essential) 

  • Familiarity with C# and Typescript (essential) 

  • Familiarity with Angular (essential) 

  • Strong understanding of Web Services/APIs (essential) 

  • Azure experience (essential) 

  • Understanding of relational databases  

  • Familiarity with NoSQL (desirable) 

  • Familiarity with secure software development practices (desirable) 

  • Familiarity with security within CI/CD (desirable) 

  • Familiarity with OWASP standards or comparable (desirable)

Location: Bridewell operates a hybrid and flexible working policy, however you will be required to travel to different sites on occasion.   

 

Note: To be eligible for this job you must either hold SC or be eligible and willing to go through security clearance.
