Bridewell Achieves FIRST Full Membership

We're pleased to announce that we've been welcomed as a new full member of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), following a stringent peer-led vetting process and approval by the FIRST CSIRT Board of Directors. This milestone showcases the maturity of Bridewell’s incident response capabilities and strengthens its ability to respond rapidly to cyber incidents while providing clients with more coordinated, intelligence-led support when it matters most. 

FIRST is a global organisation comprising more than 800 member teams across more than 100 countries, spanning government, critical national infrastructure, academia, and the private sector. Membership is selective and restricted to teams that can demonstrate active, credible incident response operations, making it a recognised mark of standing within the global incident response community.

FIRST membership is granted only following a formal and selective evaluation process. During the process, Bridewell was required to demonstrate that its incident response capability meets the high standards expected of a trusted member of a global response network. This included evidencing well-established incident handling processes, experienced responding personnel, secure information-handling practices, and a clear contribution to the wider incident response community. Applications are assessed through a peer-led process with sponsorship from existing FIRST members, and teams are expected to operate at a level appropriate for trusted collaboration within the network.

Becoming a member of FIRST places us inside a trusted global community of incident response teams from government, national CERTs, and leading private-sector organisations. The membership provides direct access to confidential information-sharing channels, peer collaboration, and early insight during major or fast-moving cyber incidents.
